Here’s an overview of my new book, “Internet Marketing Confidential: How to Spot the Lies, Misconceptions and Outright Deceptions that Internet Marketers Tell to Steal Money from Authors, Speakers, Coaches and Small Businesses.” What do you think of it? Have you been affected by any lies or scams?

Nearly 20 years ago when the Internet was known to only a few geeks, scientists and teachers, I wrote one of the first books to show how the Internet could be used for marketing. I was among the pioneers who were the Founding Fathers of Internet Marketing.

Now, as Internet marketing begins its third decade, I’m taking a look at the Internet Marketing landscape and I don’t like what I see.

Yes, there are a lot of good companies offering great products and services at reasonable prices. And there are many very good Internet Marketers and Webmasters offering solid advice at reasonable rates.

But there are a lot of con artists that have stolen – yes, stolen – hundreds, thousands and even hundreds of thousands of dollars from authors, coaches, consultants, hopeful entrepreneurs and, frankly, people who had no business starting a business. They thought they were galloping toward the next Gold Rush and got run over instead.

In this tell-all book, I’ll show you the lies, half-truths, misconceptions and downright scams that any person who wants to use the Internet to start a business or grow a business must be aware of.

As one of the more successful online marketers, I’ll show what marketing tactics work as well as what to watch out for. Then I’ll show you what you can do to build and run an ethical and profitable business.
