Pizza is in the news. Look at these three stories and tell me which company got the better publicity and branding:

1.     Domino’s loses law suit for not paying employees overtime
2.     Papa John’s blames Obamacare and cuts hours for employees so it won’t have to provide health care
3.     Punch pizza pays more than minimum wage to employees

I’m guessing you’d pick #3.

And you’d be right.

Punch was mentioned in the State of the Union address and got a zillion dollars worth of free publicity.

The Minneapolis based company was also on all the local news stations the next day. Lines for lunch were out the door. The company president said they were flooded with applications.

This goes to show that good news is good news.  Share your good news and you’ll get good publicity. The media does love good news.
