1. What is the title of the book?
LoveDance: Awakening The Divine Daughter, By Deborah Maragopoulos, FNP

2. Who is the intended audience?
LoveDance’s main audience is women between 30 and 70 years old, although many men have been moved to share how touched they were by this alternate history. LoveDance works on many levels for spiritual seekers, history buffs, both genders on their path to enlightenment, and anyone open to receive healing—body, mind and soul.

Pre-market research showed men and women from 16 to 89 years of age had transformational experiences in reading just two chapters. Fundamental Christians may not appreciate the book which draws more from the Aramaic Peshitta and the Hebrew Tanach than from the New Testament.

At the surface, LoveDance unveils a great romance, before the intimate nuances of the lost Sacred Feminine are revealed. Those who dare to open themselves to the gift of LoveDance find hundreds of insights, layers of spiritual truths, and a deep connection with the Divine.

3. What is the book about?
LoveDance is the inspirational tale of Mary Magdalen. As the sensual embodiment of the Divine Daughter, she struggles within a restrictive patriarchal society to be her truth. Her beloved husband, Yeshua, believes he is the Hebrew Messiah which is challenging at best.

Who knows a great man better than his wife. Mary has much to share with the readers. While Yeshua wishes to teach peace and love, the tribes want a warrior king like David to free them from the Roman oppression. His chosen council of twelve cannot accept an unveiled woman as the mother of the Holy Bloodline.

Just as we today try to answer the existential questions of who we are, why we are here, where we are going, what is our purpose, and when is the time ripe, Mary’s journey unveils her Divine Truth through very human relationships. Mary’s story is a parable for us all.

4. Why are you the best person to write this book?
As a board certified family nurse practitioner, I set out to write a health and wellness book. My specialty is neuro-immune-endocrinology—the study of the molecules of emotion.

My colleagues and patients encouraged me to share my pearls of healing wisdom. So I began in the summer of 2003, but no muse came until I had a dream that I was fourteen-year-old Mary Magdalen dancing down the streets of Nazareth.

As an intuitive integrative healer, I have always followed my inner guidance in my own life and when counseling patients. Having premonitions all of my life, dreaming the conception of both of my children, knowing what ails patients before they even arrive in my clinic, how could I deny this passionate muse who came in visions and dreams, some even in Aramaic!

For eight months, I wrote prolifically; over 420,000 words as if rehearsing for a major theatrical production. I wrote in first person present tense because that’s how it felt to me. Like Mary, I am a passionate woman, married to my soul mate, have consciously raised two enlightened children and am sought out by patients from around the world for my healing gifts.

5. How is this book different from other books on this topic?
There’s history, then there’s HERstory. Other novels about this controversial woman mimic history as recorded by men, presenting Mary Magdalen as a red-headed prostitute possessed by demons tagging behind Jesus like a groupie.

Some explore an alternate history, yet with the distance of past tense, third person, the story is reported not experienced. Using first person present tense narration, LoveDance portrays dark, and beautiful Mary Magdalen as the beloved wife of Yeshua, his essential partner and soul mate.

True love is a journey with the potential to realize our own divinity in the eyes of our beloved. So often we are told how to be happy, how to heal, how to become enlightened.

LoveDance allows the reader to experience Mary and Yeshua’s relationship. Through their trials and tribulations, through their soul searching and ultimate awakening, the reader grows, further on her own soul path. A gifted healer, a wise mother, a powerful leader, yet very human in her passions and vulnerability, Mary is the lost Sacred Feminine that women and men yearn for today. LoveDance is HERstory.

6. Is there anything else we should know about this book?
While self help books are all the rage, to truly imbibe the vibration of healing, one must tell a story; a story so rich in description that the reader experiences everything the characters experience. Throughout time immortal the great masters have taught through story telling; connecting the psyche to the archetypal myths that reflect our human experiences.

LoveDance intimately engages the reader with in depth characterization, emotion, passion, adventure, leading to self reflection and ultimately healing. Already readers are testifying to marked changes in their bio-psycho-social-spiritual health. I realize that my clear intention fueled by pure desire becomes manifest. And I meant to write a healing book.

LoveDance teaches all the pearls of wisdom I wished to impart in story form the way a beloved avatar taught 2000 years ago.
