Dan Janal: Sure. Let’s start at the very beginning. What is the reason for having an automated store on the Internet?
Martin Wales: Well it’s interesting, the reason for having an automated store, and I know it sounds obvious, but it’s less work. And there’s probably more significant business reasons like not hiring employees. Having a shopping cart like My Easy Online Store is like having five or six people working for you. Recently I’ve been comparing it to what have you paid or what would you pay your worst employee. If you were paying them eight bucks an hour for twenty hours, one hundred sixty bucks a week, it’s near a thousand dollars a month. If you could get a system that can do the work of five people, then what would that be worth to your business? How much time does that free up for you to pursue other things? Something that’s not talked about a lot is lost opportunity.
So you want to take a lot of things in your business that take up your time, clearing credit cards, selling to people, disqualifying people, talking to prospects who will never buy from you is what I’m talking about with disqualification. So it’s really more than a shopping cart we’re talking about today, it’s really an online marketing and selling system. It does a lot of the work before the sale. It does a lot of work during the sale and it makes more sales on the back end and we’re going to talk more about that as well. So really you know I’m biased but it’s truthful bias and it’s a great decision to automate a lot of the systems in your business especially in the marketing and selling areas because it allows you to pursue other things like develop strategy, look at new markets, go after joint venture partners, all those sorts of things rather than selling that one information product at a time or sending out information about yourself as a speaker or a consultant, whatever it is, you can automate all of those things and not deal with who I call “the tire kickers”.
