Wall Street Journal Redesigns Newspaper
The Wall Street Journal showed the world its redesigned newspaper this week. If you subscribe to the hard copy, you’ll see a narrower newspaper, larger fonts, more color and lots of other changes. Some big. Some small.
I’d suggest you go to the library and pick up a copy of Tuesday’s edition, which explains why the changes were made. You’ll get a fascinating look into how editors think about presenting the news. That could be invaluable for you when you are trying to think like a reporter or editor to get them to write about you!
They even explain how they integrate the print and the online editions. This is becoming increasingly important as younger people don’t read print newspapers in substantial numbers. The trend has been going downward for decades.
